Red light does its best work on skin that has just been worked on. After hands-on work or an aqua peel, the skin is warm and receptive, and a few quiet minutes under the panel build on what my hands started. That is why I offer it two ways.

Add It to Your Facial · $20

The easiest way to have red light is at the end of a facial you have already booked. A few minutes under the panel, eyes covered, nothing to do but rest. A calm finish, with nothing to recover from afterward.

Red light books as its own line in my calendar, so the simplest way to add it is to book your facial and write “red light” in the Reason for appointment box. I will add it to the end of your session. See every add-on I offer on the add-on menu.

Book Your Facial

On Its Own, Between Visits · $30

For clients on a maintenance rhythm who want red light more often than they come in for a facial. Red light is cumulative: the studies that show visible change use frequent sessions over several weeks. A short session between facials keeps that rhythm going.

What It Does, and What It Doesn’t

Red and near-infrared light support the look and feel of healthy, vital skin:

  • A calmer-looking tone and texture
  • Skin that looks and feels firmer
  • A calm finish after hands-on work or exfoliation

Red light is quiet, cumulative work. One session will not produce the visible change that hands-on work or microneedling can, and I will not tell you it does.

Questions

Common Questions

Should I add red light to a facial or book it on its own?

Add it to a facial if you only come in for facials. It works best on skin I have just worked on. Book it on its own if you want red light more often than your facial schedule allows.

How do I add red light to my facial?

Red light books as its own line in my calendar. The simplest way is to book your facial and write “red light” in the Reason for appointment box. I will add it to the end of your session.

Does red light therapy hurt?

No. There is no heat to speak of and no abrasion. You lie back with your eyes covered. Most clients find it the most restful part of the visit.

Is there downtime?

None. You can put makeup on and go straight back to your day.

How often should I have red light therapy?

As often as your schedule allows. Red light is cumulative, so regular sessions matter more than any single one.

Red light therapy at Altru Radiance is a cosmetic service, not a medical treatment — to support the appearance of the skin.
